The Witching Post Inn - Egton

The location was fantastic, very close to Whitby, Staithes, Goathland, and Robin Hood's Bay, the busiest pub in the village and coast to coast path. The room was spacious and spotless on top of public bar.

Couples will love this cozy stay

The food was excellent, I had the steak evening meal and it was one of the best steaks I've ever had. The landlord, Pete, was really friendly and had great tips on local sights like Staithes and Runswick Bay, just what we needed for a weekend away.

It wasn't cheap but acceptable for what we got.

The room was spacious with an ensuite. Cute mugs for tea and coffee. Loved the friendly landlord and hanging out with the adorable pub dogs! Breakfast was tasty, and the tips about local spots were super helpful. Only wish we could've stayed longer. It felt too short!

Wonderful stay with warm hospitality!

A lovely pub stay in a quaint village, boasting friendly staff and two adorable dogs. The food was delicious, with the breakfast particularly standing out. The sofa bed was uncomfortable. A good experience with a warm atmosphere and helpful suggestions for nearby attractions.

Witching post inn is lovely! The location is amazing, as it's easily accessible for trips into nearby areas and the national park. The home-cooked breakfast had great selections, and we really enjoyed the steak and ale pie from the pub's menu. Dog-friendly vibes were a plus!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Witching Post Inn, where the cute atmosphere. The meals exceeded my expectations, particularly the fantastic breakfast. The decor in our room could benefit from a bit of attention.

Our room was super spacious, comfy, and clean. Pete and the crew were super cute, even the dogs, Molly and Nellie, were adorable. The breakfast was heavenly, made with fresh local goodies! Only thing is, the bar area was a bit small when it got busy.

The bedroom and bathroom finishings lacked polish, showing signs of wear that pulled away from the overall experience. Curtains didn't fit right, appearing shabby, and the heating fell short in keeping the room warm enough, which might not sit well with cold-blooded folks.

The area was lovely, and I enjoyed exploring the nearby hiking trails. The staff here were friendly and offered useful local tips. I particularly liked the Sunday roast served for dinner. The atmosphere in the bar made it comfortable to chat with other guests. The breakfast the next morning was more than enough to start the day.

I can't think of anything that needed improvement. My stay was fine, and I felt it was good value for what I received.
